Video installation Public Figures was shot from a moving metro car while entering the station, using a digital high-speed camera. The result is an endless shot of people on a subway platform passing by in slow motion. The original glass display cases of the former Krásná jizba (Beautiful Home) outlet in the ÚLUV building contain an exhibition by two alternative exhibition spaces: Vitrínky ("display cases") gallery and the Na shledanou ("good-bye") gallery. These galleries are "peripheral" not only because they are not located in Prague, but also because they exist on the edge their cities and on the edge of public interest, though each has its own specific genius loci.

To find sustainable, respectful, and compassionate solutions. Nobody will do it for us. We can't wait for the social environment and systems to be changed from above. Systems are created by us, individuals.

The Experiences with a Stranger Show
The Catalan performer and dancer Sonia Goméz has prepared another part of her bold project The Experiences with a Stranger Show for the 4 + 4 Days in Motion Festival. This work is basically a simulation play with certain rules: the interested party/client/stranger selects a theme and identity from a catalogue and Goméz has to perform it. In her Prague stay at Meetfactory the identity was that of a prostitute who is communicating with a desperately lonely man she doesn't know.
