2+4 Days in Motion 7th International Theatre Festival » 16th. - 21st October, 2002 Divadlo Ponec, Husitská 24A, Praha 3
Festival was not take place in non-typical theatre spaces this year, which has been in the course of the last four events a regular element of the festival atmosphere. Wherever the festival took place, in the old sewage plant in Bubeneč, the factory halls of ČKD Karlín, the former Holešovice Brewery or in the Tyršův House, the non-traditional theatre environment influenced the whole program of the festival. The theatre bars, site-specific projects and other accompanying events were created for the particular places and lasted for the duration of the festival. This year we were exploring the so-called typical theatre space. WE CAME to the Ponec Theatre, to the theatre that WE HAVE NOT BUILT, because it is already there. WE ENTERED this theatre, which is a proper host for our festival because of its openness, dramaturgy and technical equipment. The artists came with us, and together WE BROKE the idea of the traditional theatre environment from the first night.

Four Days in Motion 6th International Theatre Festival » 25th - 28th October 2001 Prague Újezd - Tyršův House & Nosticova Hall
6th festival Four Days in Motion was held in the romantic environment of the Tyršův House, Nosticova Hall and Újezd surroundings. The leitmotiv of the festival was culture and sport, their connection and diversity. We tried to bring the audience to places, which are authentic in their surroundings of the achievement of physical prowess and which are not only “muscle factories” but also show a much more sophisticated view of the human body and its inner process. The groups and soloists came to Prague from ten countries of the world and as well as their nationality being diverse, their style is diverse as well - from concert, through to contemporary dance, physical and visual theatre. The result of the co-production of Four Days Association and the British-German company Gob Squad was a huge site-specific project "The Great Outdoors". The project is based on a combination of new technologies and physical theatre. The Czech field was represented by an open-air project of the Czech-Russian Teatr Novogo Fronta with the performance "Vagabond Adam Kadmon", an improvisation of international association Krepsko and the sport afternoon with Jednotka/Unit. The outdoor bar with the waitress-sportsmen created by Jednotka/Unit was the traditional part of the festival. We also presented a performance "Pigg in Hell" by German actress and dancer Astrid Endruweit directed by world renowned director Michael Laub (Remote Control Production), choreographies "Retard probable 5mn" and "7 Gouttes et des poussieres" by Canadian dance company Systema D/Dominique Porte, physical theatre Goat Island from Chicago with the performance called "It's an Earthquake in My Heart" and the concert performance by Spanish performer Fátima Miranda became a highlight of the festival.
