HIROAKI UMEDA / S20 (JP) "While going to a condition" - an impressive composition of movement and images from the talented, young dancer and choreographer from Tokyo. Hiroaki Umeda is the newest discovery on the contemporary dance scene in Japan.

KEN'ICHI "Punk Execution - Short Solo Works" - the Japanese performer was a member of Min Tanaka's company until 1984. From 1985, he has devoted himself to creating his own pieces that are infuenced by the radical "punk" movement. The perfomance in Prague is composed of series of dynamic solo works, capturing the diversity of punk characters.

AKEMI TAKEYA (JP / AT) "SoloWorks" - the Japanese dancer, performer and singer who currently lives in Vienna. Her solo creation from 1998 - 2002 features the radical movements associated with surrealistic poetry, that both fascinate and frighten in its audiences.
AKEMI TAKEYA (JP / AT) & TETSUO FURUDATE (JP) & ARNOLD HABERL (AT) "A Song Cycle on Mortality" - a musical performance based on variations of "The Symphony No. 14" by Dmitri Shostakovic. The musical dialogue of Austrian cellist , Arnold Haberl, and Japanese musician, Tetsuo Furudate, are supplemented by the voice and movements of Akemi Takeya. The common theme of "death" is presented in direct contrast with silence and action. |

NEW ART CLUB (UK) "this is MODERN" - "this is MODERN" is a monstrous lie that explodes the mystique that envelops contemporary dance and its development over the last 100 years. The group was founded in 2001 by Tom Roden (ex-Air Dance Company) and Pet Shenton (ex-Live Bait). Their creation borders on standup comedy, physical theatre and dance.

CRISTINA MALDONADO (Mexico) "Soledad: study of human isolation" Cristina Maldonado is one of the members of the young generation of Mexican choreographers. Modern dance technique is the fundamentals of her work. Since 1994, she has cooperated as a dancer in projects created by Mexican and foreign directors, and has also performed in some of the most famous theatres in Mexico, New York and Montreal. Her solo performance - "work in progress" - creates an active relationship between dance, the object, and the spectator.

BAD co. (HR) "Solo Me" - a solo for two performers / choreographers, Nikolina Pristaš and Pravdan Devlahovič. Devlahovič engages himself in questions that define the space surrounding his body (the space that is observed). Minute changes in movement in the final result gradually contaminate the entire body. Pristaš attempts to thematize the act of (self) beginning. BADco. belongs among the most progressive dance-theatre companies in the Balkans.

ŽAN LOOSE (BiH) "Tromba" - Premiere - the performances of Žan Loose appear from idleness and absence of time. And namely it is, from where the life of a sailor unwinds itself. A sand pillar is a smaller sea storm compounded by circular winds. The performance arose from the collaboration with Czech artists Kristýna Lhotáková and Ladislav Soukup. |

BRUNO AMSTAD (CH) concert - the musical creation of B. Amstad is inspired by ethnic elements and electronic music. He received the grand prize for one of his film scores at the Film Festival in Locarno in 1999. |

HALKA TŘEŠŇÁKOVÁ (CZ) "Na jejím gauči / On her sofa" - Premiere - the new production of H. Třešňáková deals with the relationship between two people after several years in the context of their everyday orderliness and disorderliness. The performance is an examination through the use of non-verbal, dance and artistic methods. In the framework of the STAGE IN MOTION Project.

KREPSKO (CZ) "25 Women" - 25 women of different ages, professions and genders create a space filled with female bodies and souls. Krepsko is a Czech dance and non-verbal theatre company that is truly one-of-a-kind - primarily thanks to the fact that their productions are improvised. WILLIAM & ANTONIA (DE) "Holding Hands" & "Without you, I am Nothing" - in both parts of this performance, a person constantly moves on the border between his artistic ambitions and real people. In the 1st part the actors introduce themselves as one organism in two different personalities. In the 2nd part, voice and speech, body and soul are uniquely combined in an opera diva's song. TEATRI DI VITA (IT) "Pugni e su di me si chuide un cielo" - the film of Italian stage and film director, Andrea Adriatico, who founded the Teatri di Vita in Bologne in 1988. "Pugni e su di me si chuide un cielo" captures the story of a woman who during an evening walk through the city stops speaking and immerses herself in silence. The film received the main prize at the Arcipelago Film Festival in 2002. In the framework of the STAGE IN MOTION Project. |

CLAUDE BRUMACHON (F / CZ) "Le Temoin"- Czech Premiere - a dance performance inspired by the works of Franz Kafka. Claude Brumachon created this performance with fifteen French and Czech dancers in the National Choreographic Centre (CCN) in November 2002 in Nantes. Originally, the performance arose from a non-resident creation in the non-theatre space, the CCN chapel, during a ten-day residency. Now, it has become a performance that is defining by a virtuous style and impressionable energetic signature, adaptable for the festival space. C. Brumachon is one of France’s leading choreographers, for his productions of "Le palais des vents", "Folie", "Boheme", where he received a series of awards together with dancer Benjamin Lamarche.
