AnikočkaAnipes (NotacatNoradog)

The two hour journey will be the visual discovery of creative displays, sound and light installations, as well as a temporary overview of the movements of animal creatures that we have never encountered.

Diquis Tiquis (Costa Rica): paredes de brillo tímido (shy shining walls)

- original theatrical miniatures, combining dance, theatre and mime, concealing the poetry and mystic elements of the Caribbean. The company, led by actor Alejandro Tosatti and dancer Sandra Trejos, has appeared in more than 20 countries and has received the National Award in Dance.

Francesco Micieli – Claudio Monteverdi – Michal Nejtek – Jiří Heřman
(Czech Republic): Lamenti

- a stage madrigal for five human voices and seven musical instruments. The fragment Lamento di Arianna from the opera of the same name by Claudio Monteverdi became the starting point of this authors´ music-theatre project. The production attempts to bring the word of the poet into the space through the use of voice, body movement, music and light.

Rosa Mei/Cie 13 (Belgium): Radio Isotope

- radioactive isotopes refer to uncertain atomic molecules radiating sparks of Alpha, Beta and Gamma. The company combines breakdance, martial arts and beatbox and heads this performance orginially created as a site-adaption for a former factory space. Now the production will be relocated to the expansive space of the hockey stadium.

Percussion Ensemble Stuttgart (Germany)

- founded in 1982 by Klaus Treeselt this musical group is one of the most successful „percussion music“ performers today. They often cross the borders into other artistic genres (literature, theatre, visual arts) and work together with representatives of music culture located outside of Europe.

Afro Break (Czech Republic)

- the idea of establishing the Afro Break company began in 2004 during the Workshop of African Music led by Tomáš Ondrůšek and former members of the one-time famous Rasin Akirfa (one of the first African music groups in the Czech Republic). Three percussionists and 20 enormous drums will bring together music guaranteed to allow you to catch the rhythm and get on your feet and dance.

Sylvio Dufrayer (Brazil): O momento antes da ação (A moment before the action)

- can we repeat everyday movements from the past? Is the memory a product of aquired experience or it is a biological condition? Brazilian artist and pedagogue Sylvio Dufrayer is interested in finding the answer to these questions. The choreographic piece received the spectators´ choice at the Internationales Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival in Stuttgart

Theart OUT /Adriatik presents
(Czech Republic):
Dr. Schreck Klinik - Das Blutig Kabinett

- the creators of this extraordinary performance allowed themselves to be inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, bloody novels and classic horror films. Actors and dancers using expressive make-up bring to mind the B&W world of silent horror films, falling into the graves, dancing with the dead… Concept, script and direction: Jan Beneš Mc Gadie and Johanes Dörner

Kristýna Lhotáková (Czech Republic):
Já jsem tady, vy jste doma
(I am Here, You are Home)

- the new work researches the state of „being alone“ and the search for inner contrasts of subjectivity. The performance tries to answer the questions: „how do individuals think, feel, sense, see and hear differently?“, „how independent or reliant are they on external influences?“ and „where are the limitations of human perception?“. Everything has two sides: are these symptoms of schizophrenia or is this merely a fundamental human dilemma?

Veronika Švábová (Czech Republic): Noise

- through the assistance of sound and optic sensors, the dancer is directly united with the space. Movement develops changes in sound and light, thus creating a performance about three autonomous elements: dance, sound and light.

Iris Reyes (Venezuela/ Netherlands):
Soy Yo Otra Vez (I ´m Here With You)

- the acrobatic and dance solo captures the sensations of danger and panic that we pass through from one moment of extreme to the next. Iris Reyes danced for several years in the National Ballet in Venezuela. She studied at the Limon Dance Studio in New York, then moved to Amsterdam where she is currently pursuing her career as an independent artist. In 2001, she received the Silver Dance Award for Best Female Dancer in The Netherlands.

Jo Strømgren Kompani (Norway):
The Hospital

- using a nonsensical language, three nurses attempt to communicate with each other in the forgotten place where they find themselves, and slowly retreat into the real world. The poetics of the lighting design and visual effects emphasize the entirely original physical and vocal techniques of the performers. The World pre-premiere of the famous Scandinavian choreographer and director Jo Strømgren.

Cakes and Puppets (Czech Republic):
The Magnificent Seven (Sedum statečných)

- the West. Friendship. Courage. Bravery. Good and evil. Love and death. Then and now. Keep your head up and move on. Sing songs about solitary heroes and firm handshakes… The greatest puppet theatre for adults have prepared the greatest adaptation of the greatest and most famous American western. European pre-premiere.
Myriam Gourfink (France): Marine
- in this solo performance, minimalist movement bases itself on the sense of perception, the heartbeat, the frequency of breath and emotional tension. Is dance truly based on “movement”? For a number of years, one of the most original French choreographers, Myriam Gourfink, has been carefully researching the human body: the border between movement and stillness, vibration of the body and sound. In 2001, this choreographic piece won the grand prize at the dance festival in Lausanne.

MAPA (Columbia): Testigo de las ruinas (Witness to the Ruins) – video installation

- in 2000, one of the oldest districts of Bogota disappeared and with it, the lives of the local workers, drug dealers, criminals… In the last moments before the demolition took place, the creators of MAPA invited several former members of the community to return to the quarter and recreate the fates of their lives in the area where they had lived most of their lives.

Erna Omarsdottir/ Johann Johannsson (Iceland): IBM - 1401, a user's manual

- an impressive combination of primitive movements, voices and sound mixing using a laptop computer and organ music. The performance was inspired by the story of Iceland´s first computer (1964). For several years, Erma Omarsdottir worked with such artists as Jan Fabre and Les Ballets C de la B. Johann Johannsson has composed music for Marc Almond and is the founder of the Kitchen Motors and Apparat Organ Quartet.

Dani Lima (Brazil):

- the world premiere of the intimate dialogue of the performer-spectator, a project that developed during the Brazilian artist´s month-long residency in Czech Republic. Dani Lima is the co-founder of the famous Brazilian circus company, Intrépida Trupe, where she worked for twelve years. Since 1998, she has dedicated herself to her own creations that penetrate the elements of contemporary dance, modern circus, theatre, and visual arts. The performance originated with the support of a residency programme of the Theatre Institute and the Studio Kokovice 4.
