The oil party is over! What next? We have to find new solutions; to create, change, listen, respect, and decide. We have to care. To keep our imagination about us. To find sustainable, respectful, and compassionate solutions. Nobody will do it for us. We can't wait for the social environment and systems to be changed from above. Systems are created by us, individuals.
Wed 20. 10. / 17:00-19:30

Project idea:
The subject of the first Future Forum in October 2009 was the worldwide financial and social crisis as an opportunity for changing the world. The magical atmosphere of last year's Future Forum was created by its taking place inside the Assembly of Nations inside the former Federal Assembly, where thirteen individuals offered their vision of how to reformat our society.
In 2010, the forum has invited various inspirational individuals from various areas of social life who provide examples of a caring and compassionate approach to life. We have asked them to share with us their personal stories and determination. What kind of person is someone who is involved in making change happen? What does this work do with him or her and what does he/she gain from it? And is it true that changing the world means, first and foremost, changing oneself? We would like to become infected with the practical engagement of individuals who have decided to work for and care about a sustainable human future. These people and their activities show that Czech civil society is connected to the worldwide wave of transforming disciplinary approaches. We, too, are part of the tide of active compassion, and every year we can find more and more individuals mobilizing to fight today's burning issues. They take personal responsibility within their professional lives, within their fields, or in the place where they live, and tirelessly work to promote the changes necessary within processes, systems, and their surroundings.
This year's forum will produce a "Handbook for the near future," that aims to be a guide for all active individuals who want to be more than observers, but who want to be actively involved in the coming process of change.
