The first trail through an exhibition of contemporary art will be open throughout this year’s 4 + 4 Days in Motion. The 384-meter long trail constructed of metal scaffolding has been sensitively incorporated into the neo-classical architecture of the Karlín barracks. At an incline of 5 to 65%, it brings you to a height of up to eight meters.

The unique nature of AMIWHATIAMTHINKINGABOUT makes it accessible to visitors of all ages. The scaffolding offers an adventurous yet safe route along the walkway, and the metal railings guarantee absolute safety and security. The metal structure blends in harmonically with the interior of the former barracks.

During the tour, visitors can enjoy amazing views of the best that contemporary art has to offer, including almost all currently available large-format sculptures and objects and the beautiful beginnings of Czech video art. At the level of the hallway vaults, you will see countless examples of contemporary painting from a unique perspective. Young visitors or those who are still young at heart and still have a sense of adventure will enjoy our three post-internet stations.

Visitors can look forward to more than 30 works of art that will expand their knowledge of contemporary artistic production. Children should particularly enjoy the colorful features that make learning even more fun. They will learn, in a new and fresh manner, what kind of art their parents, grandparents and peers make, and how long it takes from first idea to final realization. For each work of art, an information panel provides the name of the artist, the title of the work, the technique, and the date it was created. Visitors to the exhibition will thus certainly learn new things they were never taught in school.
