Urban architect Zdeňka Vydrová introduces audiences to a Mecca of contemporary modern architecture, the town of Litomyšl. She will discuss not only the town’s overall vision, but also current plans for and the successful renovation of historical buildings, plus examples of modern architecture that have been sensitively incorporated into the historical environment. What are Litomyšl’s vision and goals, and what might they be for Prague?
Zdeňka Vydrová’s areas of expertise are urbanism and comprehensive architectural services. Some of her projects have received awards at exhibitions of Czech architecture, and have also been exhibited at home and abroad. Besides her architectural design work, since 1991 she has been the municipal architect for the city of Litomyšl, where she is involved in the city’s urban development.
