Do you have a knack for art?
Educational programs for schools
DAILY, Weekdays starting at 9 am
Starting at 9am from Monday 7 October until Friday 11 October, we will again be offering programs for schools and the public as part of the 4 + 4 Days in Motion festival. Students from primary and secondary schools can look forward to a 90- or 120-minute educational program including an interactive tour of the exhibition and of three floors of the Desfours Palace, plus a creative workshop (always adapted to the participants’ age). For older students (age 15 and up), we also offer a 60-minuted guided tour.
As in past years, these activities are organized by the educational platform called Do You Have a Knack for Art? Once again, the visual design of the studio and the workshops has been created by the artist known as Kakalík. Working with the festival’s theme of “Nobody has anything,” we will focus our attention on the least conspicuous details, the ability to make do with very little, artistic minimalism, and “emptiness” in general. Our aim is to offer students different ways of encountering contemporary art in way that they can understand.
In view of the complicated nature of the historical building of the Desfours Palace, capacity is limited, so please reserve your participation in advance! Educational programs and guided tours for groups are free.
The accompanying activities are designed by Tereza Šímová Beranová and Jiří Raiterman from Do You Have a Knack for Art? We are looking forward to seeing you!
