Bringing forward authentic voices of artists from Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, Dialogue (Im)possible uses lectures, performances, and readings to unpack censorship, exile, war, and the search for meaningful dialogue.
The world is changing faster than ever. Rather than responding with grand manifestos, contemporary artists are turning to personal stories, returns to history – both distant and recent – or humor and irony to open up fresh perspectives on contemporary art and today’s world. This is precisely the thread connecting this year’s international lineup at the 4 + 4 Days in Motion festival. Eight international performances will highlight creators whose work over recent seasons has made waves at major European and global festivals.

In the spaces of the former Galaxie multiplex, artists Vladimir 518 and Epos 257 explore the phenomenon of housing estate entertainment—situations where imitations of American models met the eccentric ethos of the era. While the visions of the time promised a glittering dream, the reality of the periphery carried within it, from the very beginning, the dark side of transformation—addiction, exploitation, and gradual disillusionment with unfulfilled visions.
At home. A small archaeological site of feelings, impressions, memories. A refuge of intimacy. A territory created somewhere inside oneself. A space that is a process of birth, departure, transformation. Places of stopping, welcome and unwanted changes, pains and joys. Things, things, things. Imprints of the past, dreams of the future. Memory of relationships, stories in time, scents, freedom. A living process of experiences. Safety, conflict, loss. Trauma. The body of solitude. Silence. Time from inside and outside. A flowerpot outside the window, the sun penetrating through the windowsill… stay home for a while.
