MLADINSKO THEATRE (SLO) „Fragile“ The script by Teny Štivičić shows people full of desire: Mila who wants to be a famous singer, Marek who wants to be a comedian, Gayle who wants to be a famous artist, Tjaša who wants to get married, Erik – a former war correspondent – feels that life is a one long party… All of them live in London. They meet in a club where they wait for something they think they can find here only. Time they considered to be waiting only changes into a key moment of their fates. The drama of Teny Štivičić is a study of relations between a foreign country and home. The characters of the story are your emigrants from the former Yugoslavia countries who connect their identity with a passport more than with their identity card. The performance is set in music of pre-war Yugoslavian hits and scenic reality creatively uses procedures of film tricks.
MATJAŽ POGRAJC (1967) studied theater and radio directing in Ljubljana. In 1990 he founded Betontanc – a group that dealt with choreographic and physical forms of stage expression. Pograjc thematically oriented production of Betontanc to the urban youth world. His other research is dedicated to verbal theater structures: with the help of Mladinsko Theatre, Pograjc develops original interpretation of contemporary dramatic texts. His method involves various genres of pop-culture under which archetypal models of a lost civilization, chaos, violence and cruelty are hidden.
