Processes of progress
in Community Development and the Transformation of Public Space
- Tuesday Oct 9 / 10:00–17:30, Desfours Palace
Community projects necessarily bring an interaction between their iniciators and public administration. The objective of the Processes of Progress project is to improve cooperation between towns and local communities and to simplify the administrative burden associated with community enhancements of public space. The project participants include progressive politicians and local government officials from across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, active citizens, representatives from the non-profit sector, and other experts in the field. This is the second conference on this theme, and it has the task of identifying the benefits and risks associated with community projects in public space. The main section will focus on finding a balanced model for defining cooperation during the process of preparing, implementing, using, and maintaining community projects.
Organized by Pěstuj prostor (Foster the City registered association) and International festival of contemporary art 4+4 Days in Motion with the support of Ministry of Culture Czech Republic and Via Foundation.
