IVANA MÜLLER / LISA (D/NL) “While We Were The group of neo-conceptual artists under leadership of Croatian-German author creates a tableau vivant (lively image) on the stage where immobile characters offer their imagination to the audience. Their make-believe immobility loads space with energy and asks a basic situational question: Who are we and where do we find ourselves? Are we in a forest? Or in a hotel room in Bangkok? Or on a rock group tour? By formulation of their ideas, performers draw the audience into a witty imaginative play that changes reality and therefore they define a relation among an image, its bearer and observer.
Ivana Müller comes from Zagreb where she studied comparative literature and French. She graduated from School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. Müller creates performances based on text, video, movement and dance where she develops a self-concept theme, a relation of “I” - “body” - “mind” in a witty and pointed way. She is a member of an artistic unit LISA with other young artists where every member develop their own individual artistic vision and also cooperated on implementing projects of their colleagues. LISA is therefore an artistic and human background, breeding ground of inspiration and implementing team.
