IRINA MÜLLER (D) “On pleasure and fear”
- work in progress / residency
On pleasure and fear is about the production of sensuality and meaning through movement. It is about transmitting an intense physical experience. By taking one activity and exploring its extreme states the piece investigates the duality of reason and instinct. One watches a process of changing meanings and altering emotions. A gradually unfolding structure transports us into states of enjoyment as well as anxiety and thereby reflecting on how we create meaning by activity as well as by interpretation.
Irina Müller (1979), choreographer and performer, living in Berlin, graduated 2003 from the School for New Dance Development SNDO in Amsterdam.
