Good Girl Killer /PL 2005 marked the 40th anniversary when the world began using the tape recorder. In the Good Girl Killer performance, the group wanted to pay tribute to this technological phenomenon that they perceive as an instrument of memory and a “mascot” of a certain era. They create a method of vigorous musical-dance portraits, using excerpts from their own musical archives, machine-like movement, techniques of ecstasy and even circus sentimentality. The protagonist of their piece is the human being in the context of the metropolis that weaves a network of information, noise and irritating stimuli. The human being gazes up into space with hope, yet also with fear. Punk and disco, irony and nostalgia are the instruments and features of the testimony of their generation.
Dancers Magda Jedra and Anna Stellar, musicians Grzegorz Welizarowicz and Zbigniew Bienkowski and visual artist Jarosław Szwoch create the Polish musical/dance group Good Girl Killer. Their multi-disciplinary piece of the same name is presented outside of Poland for the first time.
