„Small Duets at the Heart of Europe“

I Am Tadik, Right?

For anyone, the center or heart of Europe lies where they stay, where they settle down. Most people, having settled down, start a family, enacting their small intimate duet. This is how a new map is continually redrawn, new history of Europe – history of families that has strange, often tense position in comparison with the official history, with maps of national states and closed boarders. This new map expresses certain extent of independence that attracts us.

Insofar, Kristýna Lhotáková and Ladislav Soukup developed the following performances: Venus with the Rubics Cube (1999), TransIT! (2000), Question for the Following Year (2002), Featured (2004), Swan (2002) and I Am Here, You Are at Home (2005). The dance solo Small Duets at the Heart of Europe was created last year for Tadeusz Rybicki, actor of the Teatr Cinema.
