D „Plus seule qu’en solo/ More Alone than Merely a Solo"
Dominique Porte’s new choreography celebrates the notion of mutual respect that exists between two human beings. She places a great emphasis on their intimacy, their intimate zones. Porte searches for a method in which people can get close to each other, without one disturbing the others privacy. Two dancers and two musicians on stage in dynamic relationships, developing a mutual creative interaction. A fast and fluid dance is effectively juxtapositioned next to a sensitive and intimate dance; electronic music blends together with acoustic music...
French choreographer and dancer Dominique Porte has been working in Montreal, Canada for the past ten years and was seen in performances of Compagnie Marie Chouinard and José Navas. In 1999, she formed her own dance company Systéme D and has since become famous for her precise and brilliant choreography. She regularly collaborates with the talented French composer and musician Laurent Maslé, who together with the equally gifted Charles Papassoff, is the author and performer in the performance Plus seule qu’en solo.
„The word is used like an inspiration and moves along with such lightness and speed that it isn´t possible for the human eye to catch all of the movements“
