Yoshi has never had to far from his village. His life as happy as the life of an old Nepalese bachelor could be. But then Yoshi’s sister fell ill, and now he is faced with the difficult task of climbing to the peaks of the mountains in order to bring back medicine for his sister. It is a dangerous journey that may well cost him his life.
The Československé klacky theater ensemble focuses mainly on puppet theater. It is made up of graduates from the bacehlor’s program of DAMU’s Department of Puppet and Alternative Theatre Johana Bártová (director, dramaturgy), Matěj Šumbera (acting), and Jakub Šulík (scenography), under the direction of Lukáš Jiřička, Robert Smolík, Tomáš Procházka, and Branislav Mazúch. All three memnbers are currently studying for their master’s degree at DAMU. Československé klacky was founded in 2019 and premiered in February of that year with The Smallest of the Sami, which took second place at the Erik theater awards and was presented as part of the Drama Label project. In 2020, it was part of the Nová krev (New Blood) project.
