Presentation of site specific projects KALD DAMU

KNOWtilus is a project by two of Prague’s higher education institutions – the University of Economics (VŠE) and the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU). The project explores the use of science and technology as a source of inspiration for art and for the creative industry.
Besides teachers of and experts in this issue, KNOWtilus also involved the participation of selected students of arts management and multimedia in economic practice at VŠE’s Faculty of Informatics and Statistics and from DAMU’s “Theatrical Creation in Non-Traditional Spaces” study programme. The project will contribute to the development of interdisciplinary skills and project-oriented teamwork, which are increasingly common in art and the creative industry.
The goal of the project is to study new methods for the presentation of science and research at artistic productions and exhibitions by increasing their interactivity, with the aim of showing that the combination of science and art offers strong synergies. At the same time, it allows students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice while learning more about new technologies, approaches and fields of study.
