4 + 4 Days in Motion 2023 in May to open with the exhibition of contemporary art Everything’s Everyone’s

Places of Act, the visual part of this year’s 28th edition of the 4 + 4 Days in Motion international festival of contemporary arts, takes place from 11 to 21 May in Erpet Smíchov and its neighborhood. The unique space of the former sports center from the 1980s will be occupied by the Everything’s Everyone’s exhibition, which is going to present artists and art projects from the Czech Republic, such as Karolína Netolická, Lucie Sceranková and Julius Reichel. The overall number of artists is about 60.

4+4 Days in Motion presents an exhibition of contemporary art, dance performances, theater, and concerts

Some sixty contemporary artists, international performance ensembles, concerts, film screenings, workshops, guided tours, and a program and workshops for children – this is the twenty-seventh edition of the 4+4 Days in Motion international festival of contemporary art with the subtitle “To Be Someone Else, Somewhere Else, Sometime Else.” This year’s festival is held at Erpet Smíchov, the Archa Theater, and the Savarin Riding School. The opening ceremony is this Wednesday, 5 October at 6pm, and the festival runs until 16 October.

Exhibition opening: To Be Someone Else, Somewhere Else, Sometime Else

Curators Gabriela Kotiková and Denisa Václavová invited more than sixty Czech artists to create site-specific works inspired by the venue. In addition, the exhibition also includes paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, and videos on the subject of the human desire to be in multiple places at once, to be someone else in another time.
