Pro city walks – get to know your city and its public spaces. Personal and unconventional views of a selected locality – Masaryk Station, Florenc, Karlín and the immediate surroundings.
The Holešovice meander: This walk along the entire length of Jankovcova Street will look at a unique industrial area formed by grandiose public transportation structures and characterized by remarkable industrial architecture, at a time when the neighborhood is being fundamentally transformed. Meet across from the former railway workers’ cafeteria at Železničářů 204/6, Prague 7 (GPS 50°6’24.42″N, 14°26’26.18″E); the walk concludes at Libeň Bridge.
Jankovcova Street from Bubny Station to Libeň Bridge: Bubny shops (demolition), Ferra warehouses (demolition), co-op storehouse (demolition), cotton washhouse (conversion), public storehouse (planned conversion), steam mill (conversion), Holešovice dockyard (built-up), the Maniny plain and Libeň Bridge (at risk).
