Festival 4+4 dny v pohybu založila v roce 1996 čtveřice Pavel Štorek, Denisa Václavová, Markéta Černá a Nikola Böhmová, kteří jej dodnes pořádají. Za dvacet let festival uvedl více než 400 zahraničních i českých souborů či tvůrců všech druhů současného umění (divadlo, tanec, hudba, výtvarné umění, film, video art).

Organizers of two important international festivals 4+4 Days in Motion (CZ) and METEOR (NO) decided to create a joint project (a sub-festival) from the field of professional theatre called Norway Artway, which is going to be presented in the programme of both festivals in 2015.
The international festival of contemporary art 4+4 Days in Motion is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The showcase, which was the first cultural event in the 1990s, began to explore abandoned buildings falling into disrepair and premises that were supposed to be slated for demolition. It now develops its original mission. It engages artists in places where nobody has ever seen them before.
